Rockhill Furnace Work Session: January 7-8, 2006

The first Rockhill work session of 2006 was held Saturday and Sunday, January 7-8, 2006.

Those participating included Lee Rainey, Charles Wootton, William Adams, Jane Rutledge, Richard Rutledge and Tom Kozub.

Combine #14

At the end of the 2005 operating season, Combine #14 was placed in the Paint Shop in preparation for the planned FEBT restoration. Work on the car began during the January Session. Thorough documentation was done on the car before any disassembly was done, including photos and measurements.

Disassembly then started. All the lower siding and the upper roof coverings were removed from the car. The passenger end platform was removed from the car, including all metalwork, steps and decking.
