An FEBT Rockhill work session will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19.

"The work you are doing must continue, because even though we are not operating, I am not giving up."
–Mr. Joe Kovalchick, owner, East Broad Top Railroad

We will work from 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and from 9 am to 4 pm Sunday. We'll meet at the Rockhill shops at 9 am.

Meals

The Iron Rail B&B will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday. On Sunday, breakfast and lunch will be offered. You must RSVP for all meals to the Brightbills.

Weather

Right now the weekend looks very nice. It should be gluing and painting weather – but there is a chance of showers on Saturday. Keep an eye onn the weather by visiting accuweather.com and checking the Rockhill zip code, 17249.

Boilerhouse Rats

The Boilerhouse Rats will be doing a variety of odd jobs around the boilerhouse, blacksmith shop, and car shop. Dick Ullery will lead this crew.

Combine 14

The combine crew will continue work on the upper clerestory. We expect also to glue the sheathing on the southwest corner of the car. Lee Rainey will lead this project.

Glass Rattlers

The Glass Rattlers are working on the doors on the south end of the loco shop. Work this weekend will involve planing of the new door timbers, and milling the T&G door sheathing The Rattlers are under the leadership of Bill Adams and Chris Coleman.

Steel Crew

The steel crew has begun work on the combine's south truck. Steve Jacobs leads the Steel Crew.

Ground Rules

To take part you must be 18 and a member of the FEBT (or join the FEBT at the work site.) These are insurance requirements. We are guests of the railroad and need to behave accordingly.

Last-minute walk-ons are always welcome at our sessions, but if possible, drop me an e-mail in advance to let me know that you are coming. It helps with the planning.

See you there!
Lee
