To mark this final year of our current campaign, we will provide one of the six full-color, authorized reproductions of original paintings featuring the East Broad Top Railroad shown above to acknowledge each contribution of $50 or more which we receive before August 31, 2008. Donors who elect this option should tell us which art reproduction they want.
Already have all of our art reproductions? Any donor who contributes $50 or more before August 31. 2008, may instead choose to receive one chance to win the original John H. Coker painting Leaving Robertsdale, Pennsylvania. This painting, produced by the artist especially for Friends of the East Broad Top, will be given away to some lucky winner on Saturday, October 11, 2008 (See below for more information about our raffle.) Donors who elect this option should tell us they want a Leaving Robertsdale raffle ticket.
The resources we obtain during this campaign will be used to support our restoration program, which currently incorporates work at Robertsdale and Rockhill Furnace; support improvements to our car restoration facility in the EBT paint shop building in Rockhill Furnace, where we restore and rehabilitate historic EBT cars and other equipment; support further development of our museum and its collections; and retire debt we assumed for the first phase of our rehabilitation of the old Robertsdale post office and to “bring home:” East Broad Top Railroad passenger cars 18 and 29.
For more information about the accomplishments and goals of our campaign, we invite you to visit our restoration page. All contributions (please make checks payable to Friends of the East Broad Top or FEBT) should be mailed to the following address:
